The Information Technology Division is dedicated to maintaining a policy that is comprehensive, precise, and current. This policy establishes uniform practices andprocedures to be followed for authorizing technology project work. The PMO will serve as a primary point of contact for general ITD Project updates and guidance through a software development lifecycle (SDLC).

The Business Sponsor requesting IT services should have sufficient knowledge of the business need in order to describe the purpose of the project, define project scope, and describe the benefits.  Projects should be aligned with LAUSD strategy and the best interests of the District. The ITD PMO will facilitate the project request process and ensure that projects warrant the estimated costs and effort.
