MyData Refreshed as of:  Monday,  June 10,  2024
System Status Is Operational

GetData and MyData will be offline Saturday April 27th from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

MyData/GetData Access Issues:

If your access was recently updated, or removed, please go to oneAccess and request the appropriate role again.   If oneAccess still displays a current access role, please revoke/remove that previous role before applying again.   Any HR employee assignment updates on July 1, 2022 or after, resets your access automatically.

You will need to apply for access again.  This is a regular security process.

If you need to review your role, or if you need more information about access, here is the link for the MyData Access Job Aid.

Any other issues with access go to Request Software Application Technical Support and open a ticket for MyData.

Frequently Asked Questions

MyData is a web-based reporting tool that provides student-level data to teachers and administrators to improve instruction, identify and provide interventions for at-risk students, monitor the performance of students, and inform other decisions. MyData contains student reports such as state test scores (CST, CELDT, CAHSEE), student grades, attendance, A-G coursework, periodic assessments, English Learner data, special education status, and more. Greater availability and usability of student data will allow LAUSD educators to differentiate their instruction to meet the individual learning needs of each student. Teachers will have access to classroom-level data, school-site administrators to school-level data, and local district and central office staff to District-level data.
To access MyData once your account is set up, go to http://mydata.lausd.net . Log in using your Single Sign-On credentials (i.e., LAUSD e-mail username and password). One way to make sure your Single Sign-On is working is to log on to “Inside LAUSD” on the LAUSD homepage www.lausd.net .
Yes. MyData is accessible on the Internet from any Mac or PC. Supported browser is Firefox for Windows and Mac users. Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome are not recommended at this time.
The latency of the data depends on the type of data it is. State test data is uploaded, for example, annually, while attendance data is uploaded daily.  Classroom rosters are updated weekly (data is extracted from the source(s) on Friday night and uploaded to MyData the following Monday night, available to users by Tuesday morning), as well as some reports from the school menu, such as Attendance, A-G, Discipline Referrals and Alert Reports.  The rest of the reports from the school menu are updated monthly.
Yes. MyData is a reporting tool, and it is impossible for users to manipulate the underlying data, with the exception of the School-Based Assessments. Further, all users have role-based access which means they can see data only for the students they are authorized to see.
The Central MyData team offers classes through MyPLN.  MyData 101 is a three-hour introductory course to learn about its basic features. Register for trainings at MyPLN.
If you see a mistake in data that is collected at the school site (e.g., attendance, grades, EL data), the error may be a data entry error. Check with the person at your school who enters the data (e.g, teacher, coordinator, clerk). If you see an error in centrally-collected data such as CST scores, please contact the Central MyData team at [email protected] .
At MyData, we value user feedback. The easiest way to make a recommendation is to select the ”Suggestions” button in MyData. Include your contact information in case we need more information about your recommendation. You can also send an email to [email protected] .
MyData is a tool intended to help support administrators and teachers by providing formative data to help engage in data-driven conversations about how to improve student instruction. The District’s tools for accountability include the Report Card and performance reviews. MyData will help educators monitor student achievement and make adjustments throughout the year but should not be used for accountability purposes.
If you are a teacher, MyData can help you monitor student progress, develop lesson plans, target interventions, customize student learning, discuss the effectiveness of your teaching with colleagues, and identify needs for professional learning and other resources. If you are an administrator, MyData can help you identify professional learning needs and other resource needs for your faculty, plan your course/curriculum availability, monitor attendance, and plan strategically for improving outcomes that will inform the School Report Card.
