MiSiS Updates – July 15, 2026

MiSiS Announcements:

• The MiSiS Opening of School Year Checklist has been updated and can be found in the Other Resources menu under Helpful Links on the main page.

The following items have been enhanced/corrected in MiSiS:

Scheduling

• The Scheduling screens have been corrected to allow users to download reports when using the Chrome browser.
• The Teacher Section Assignment report has been corrected to display only active co-teachers and to include courses with their associated Section Types.

Attendance

• The Comprehensive and Continuation Teacher Roster screens have been enhanced to:
  • Display the Period Start Time and Period End Time when the Meeting Pattern for the selected date matches the corresponding Bell Schedule Period Group and period.
  • Allow the screens to be viewed in read-only mode prior to the first day of school.
• The Continuation Teacher Roster screen has also been enhanced to display submission indicators for periods with ANS.
• The Manage Teacher/Class Attendance screen has been enhanced to separate attendance-taking and non-attendance-taking periods. Attendance-taking periods are displayed first, followed by non-attendance-taking periods. An “N/A” indicator is displayed on non-attendance-taking period tabs.
• The Classroom Attendance Totals by Date Range report has been corrected to display the correct number of days present and absent.
• The Student Truancy Report screen has been updated with the 2026-2027 school year Truancy Notification Dates and Policy document.

Academic Intervention

• The Intervention Service report has been enhanced by adding new report parameters, updating existing fields, and including additional fields in the Excel export.

Census

• The student profile and Exclusion screens (profile and mass) have been updated to comply with legal requirements and policy.

English Learner

• The EL Progress Profile, Individual Reclassification Acceleration Plan, English Learner Rosters, and SSPT Reclassification Recommendation Form reports have been enhanced to include new SBA-ELA (Smarter Balanced Assessment) performance level descriptions. The updated English Learner Progress Profile, Individual Reclassification Acceleration Plan, and Creating an SSPT Referral for Reclassification job aids are available on the MiSiS website.
• The RFEP Monitoring Letter and RFEP Monitoring Roster reports have been enhanced to include new SBA-ELA and math (Smarter Balanced Assessment) performance level descriptions. The updated RFEP Monitoring Letter and RFEP Monitoring Roster job aids are available on the MiSiS website.

GATE

• The Manage GATE Student Verification and GATE Student Information screens have been enhanced to display “screened with” before a student is verified.

Graduation Standards

• The College and Career Readiness Guide (CCRG) report has been enhanced to reflect the new graduation benchmarks for the Class of 2030 and beyond and corrected to display the CSU/UC Bar Chart benchmarks accurately.
• The Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) report has been enhanced to include new SBA-ELA and Math (Smarter Balanced Assessment) performance level descriptions.

Health

• The Immunization screen has been enhanced to enforce grade-level and age-based immunization requirements for all schools. Independent Study (IS) schools, including City of Angels and Virtual Academies, can enroll students without immunization records.
• The Student Health Screening screen has been enhanced to reorder the Tuberculosis fields and add date pickers for the Waiver Date and Dental Examination Date fields in the Dental/Oral Health Assessment section.

Homeless

• The Homeless screen has been enhanced to no longer automatically create the miliary exclusion and to add an audit log.

Linked Learning

• On the Linked Learning/CTE screen, Industry Sector and Pathway has been corrected to allow the Start Date to be updated when adding a new pathway.
• One the Linked Learning/CTE screen, Work Based Learning has been enhanced to allow the Internship Start Date to be set to a date in the prior school year.

Student Testing

• Student Testing has been enhanced with a new screen, Assessment Options, under the Admin menu, that allows users to enter alternate assessment options for students in grades K-2 who are not taking the DIBELS 8 assessment. A job aid is currently under development and will be available on the MiSiS website.
